As a former administrator, educator, author, curriculum designer, and lifelong learner, I am passionate about driving meaningful change—not only in classrooms but also in shaping a lifetime of learning and making a lasting impact on the lives of students, educators, and families. With over 15 years of hands-on teaching, leadership, and curriculum development experience, I bring a unique perspective to education. My diverse background spans roles as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, university instructor, curriculum designer, and homeschool evaluator. Whether you are a homeschooling parent seeking guidance, an educator looking for innovative strategies, or a student aiming to thrive, I am here to help you succeed.

Educator, Author, and Advocate for Engaging Learning Experiences
As an author, Brooke Layton utilizes her extensive knowledge in the field of elementary education to create stories that not only capture the hearts and interest of young readers but also incorporate lasting learning interactions.
With more than ten years of hands-on teaching and leadership experience, Brooke taught students in kindergarten through fifth grade before transitioning to become assistant principal for Hillsborough County at both Metropolitan Ministries Partnership School in Tampa, Florida, and then at Maniscalco Elementary in Lutz, Florida.
She is currently a professor at Ashford University, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate courses. Brooke obtained her master’s degree with a 4.0 GPA in educational leadership at the American College of Education and received full academic scholarships to obtain her bachelor of science in elementary education from the University of South Florida.
Inspiring Lifelong Learning Through Student-Focused Leadership and Community Building
As a lifelong educator, Brooke makes it a priority to strive to be a leader who drives change not only in the classroom, but change that shapes a lifetime of learning and impacts lives beyond measure. Her philosophy of education is a student-focused one that involves building and strengthening communities by allowing students to use their own life experiences and prior knowledge to build on what they are learning. Brooke believes that by giving teachers the tools to provide differentiated, individualized instruction to students of all ages, instructors can meet the preferred learning styles of each of their students.
A Dedicated Educator and Change Agent.
During her time as an elementary school teacher, Brooke was fortunate to lead her school in many areas.
She created a strong and successful SAC (School Advisory Counsel); facilitated a reading initiative partnership; trained staff in science, reading, and technology; mentored new teachers and interns; created school-wide assessment and behavior policies; and implemented many other initiatives that helped lead to the success of her students and the school.
These opportunities allowed Brooke to become a change agent who drove success in her place of employment by creating new standards in excellence. Brooke Layton currently lives in Tampa, Florida. She is married and has a toddler son named Tristan.
